Who Needs A Jeep When You Can Have An Off-Road Shelby GT350?

Off-road-inspired cars have been catching the eye of enthusiasts lately, and it’s not just trucks and SUVs leading the charge. Sports cars are getting in on the action, too, with models like the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato pushing the limits of what’s possible.

Now, German tuning company Loder1899 is jumping into the off-road sports car game with a modified Shelby GT350 that brings the thrill of muscle and adventure together.

Shelby GT350

Inspired by a car featured in The Thomas Crown Affair remake, this concept GT350 takes the classic pony car to a whole new level. It sits higher on the road thanks to a raised suspension and is fitted with beefy BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires on custom wheels, giving it a rugged, off-road-ready look. The rounded fender flares, added auxiliary lights, and roll bar clarify it that this car is all about combining style with off-road capability.

Inside, the car is decked out with Recaro seats to provide comfort and support for any adventure, plus a custom rear deck lid that holds a spare tire secured with leather straps for that touch of personality. The whole build looks like it could take on any adventure—whether that’s a backcountry drive or a trip to the dunes.

While it's still just a concept for now, Loder1899 seems pretty confident that people will be excited about it. Maximilian Loder even hinted that if the response is strong enough, they’d look into putting it into production.

As for performance, the 2025 Shelby GT350 still runs on the 5.0-liter V8 with 480 hp, but if you’re craving more power, you can opt for a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger that pushes it to a massive 810 hp. It’s available with either a manual or automatic transmission, and the supercharged version starts at $109,999. With production limited to just 526 units, it’s going to be a rare find.

If Loder1899 does decide to build this thing, there’s a chance they’ll base it on the Mustang Dark Horse, which has 500 hp and 418 lb-ft of torque. That would make for one seriously capable off-road muscle car.

For Mustang fans who want something a bit different—something that can handle a bit of dirt while still delivering that unmistakable muscle car feel—this off-road GT350 could be the perfect blend of power and adventure.
