Chevy Turned a Colorado and Bolt Into Pixar Cars Characters And They Look Surprisingly Good

What happens when Chevrolet turns two everyday models into characters from Pixar’s Cars? That is exactly what GM brought to D23, where a 2026 Colorado became Ramone and the 2027 Bolt took on the look of Flo. The display also marks the 20th anniversary of the movie franchise.

Ramone drives a 1959 Chevrolet Impala low-rider in the movie and runs the custom paint shop in Radiator Springs.

The Colorado gets a similar custom-shop treatment, with detailed graphics designed around its body. Flo, meanwhile, drives a 1950s-inspired show car and runs Flo’s V-8 Café. The Bolt gets her blue-and-white look while keeping its modern shape underneath.

GM uses different wrap materials for each car. The Bolt gets a regular wrap film with a continuous-color design. The Colorado uses a silver metallic film that gives the graphics a paint-like finish. Its complex gradients require separate printed panels across the body, including the door handles. The teams spend about one week completing both cars.

The choice of vehicles also carries a message. The Colorado represents Chevrolet’s combustion-powered lineup, while the Bolt represents its EV side. GM and Disney have worked together since 1982, when GM sponsored EPCOT’s World of Motion attraction. Neither Cars-themed vehicle goes into production. Seeing a Colorado as Ramone and a Bolt as Flo is a fun way to mark two decades of Pixar’s most famous automotive world.
