Dude Ram 1500 Concept Brings 1970s Cool Back To Life

Every year at SEMA, there is one vehicle that steals the spotlight without even trying. This time, it is a bright green pickup sitting low under the lights, wearing the name Dude Ram 1500 Concept. Ram built it as a tribute to the past, but it feels very much alive in the present.
The story goes back to 1970, when the Dodge Dude first appeared as a special version of the old D100 pickup. It was bold, playful, and a little bit rebellious. The new Dude carries the same spirit but wraps it in modern muscle and design.

The color is called Sublime Green. The roof, mirrors, and grille are finished in deep black, and the hood bulges slightly, hinting at power beneath it. The suspension sits low to the ground, the wheels are 22 inches across, and the whole truck looks ready to sprint rather than haul.

Meanwhile, the splitter sits low enough to make you nervous about speed bumps, the side skirts flow clean, and the twin pipes peek out with purpose. Even when it’s parked, it gives off that “don’t blink or you’ll miss it” energy.

Inside, the Dude Ram 1500 Concept has black leather on the seats and the doors and bright green stitching that binds the design. A small badge sits on the dashboard, indicating something unique. A tiny safe adds a touch of humor and practicality in the center console.

Underneath it's the standard 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with a Mopar cold air intake. It maintains its 395 horsepower rating, a good fit for the concept.

But what really makes it special is the way it bridges old and new. It brings back the time when trucks were loud, fun, and full of attitude, then wraps that spirit in something fresh. The Dude Ram 1500 Concept keeps that wild charm alive and reminds everyone that a truck can still have style and heart, not just muscle.
