Peugeot Polygon Concept Previews The Next-Generation 208 For 2027
by AutoExpert | 12 November, 2025
Peugeot has been teasing the Polygon concept for a while now, and it’s pretty clear this isn’t just some show car. It looks like an early glimpse of the next 208, which is set to arrive in 2027.
While Peugeot hasn’t directly said “this is the next 208,” the hints are impossible to miss. The sleek proportions, sculpted waistline, strong shoulders, and emphasis on recycled materials all point to where the brand’s best-selling supermini is headed.

One of the coolest little touches is the charging port, featuring an LED status light built right into the C-pillar—a clever nod to the old 205 that longtime Peugeot fans will instantly recognize. Mix that with the updated triple-claw lighting, and you’ve got a design that somehow feels nostalgic and futuristic at the same time.

Inside, the Polygon concept shows off a next-generation take on Peugeot’s i-Cockpit. The whole windshield functions as a massive 31-inch display that combines the instrument cluster and infotainment screen. It’s a wild idea, sure, but honestly, it doesn’t feel that far off from something we could actually see on the road soon.

Then there’s the Hypersquare, essentially a rectangular steering wheel with four circular touchpads in each corner for key controls. Thanks to steer-by-wire tech, it can adjust its ratio at low speeds, making parking effortless.

The carmaker insists the Peugeot Polygon isn’t just a show-car fantasy. Both the Hypersquare steering system and the steer-by-wire setup are set to appear on a production car by 2027—and yes, that almost certainly means the next-generation 208.
