Lexus is ready to take a step out of the box with breathtaking interior concepts. Forget the usual leather, plastic, and carbon fiber for vehicle interiors - it is time for a new design concept! Lexus has three leading names in the design industry to remaster their cabins. The concept results leave no room for disappointment - only WOW.

The brand worked on this concept with three designers - Salehe Bembury, a star footwear designer Ondrej Zunka, a digital artist, and Hender Scheme, a Japanese fashion label to reimagine new and exciting interiors for the brand's concept car of the future of the electric vehicle. The team took the LF-Z Electrified car and perfectly matched it with a new envisioning interior.

The design created by Bembury shows the possibility of working with organic materials using bright colors that could be the future instruments to work. The designer used vivid colors inspired by sandstone landscapes and worked with natural tones - cedar, cork, and actual granite.
“I want this car to feel like a seamless juxtaposition of machine and nature. Equally utilizing the function of the machine and the benefits and nature to fuel and nurture the passengers to their destination,” said Bembury.

Ondrej Zunka, the digital artist opted for a very colorful interior, but he tried to show what a beyond-limit vision looks like. The realm of the possible is limitless, right?
“Since my work lives beyond the real, I didn’t want to limit the design to any existing materials. ... I envisioned a silicon-like smart material for the seats. This soft translucent material wraps around the passenger’s body to form a bespoke profile for an exceptionally comfortable seat,” he wrote on his Instagram page.

Surprisingly, Lexus used the conception of the untreated leather material. Go deep to understand the purpose of it - you will be amazed by the offered possibilities. The leather, you see, has a unique property of changing in time by developing a patina in time. Depending on how the driver uses his car, the material will react. Since everyone is different, the uniqueness of the interior of the vehicle is guaranteed. The perfect reflection in real-time of the driver-car relationship, right?

According to Brian Bolan, general manager at Lexus International, LF-Z Electrified embodies the future of the Lexus brand. The collaboration with young and talented designers is an energy source worth to be explored The new concepts "not only reinterprets the interior of the LF-Z but also examine the themes of Lexus’ next chapter.”
