This BMW M2 Concept Blends Retro BMW Style With Hardcore Aero

The BMW M2 has already become a favorite canvas for tuners, but independent designer Khyzyl Saleem has taken things to a whole new level with his bold M2-KS concept. This custom design blends retro cues with aggressive modern styling, giving the compact coupe a wild, motorsport-inspired makeover.
Drawing heavily from the 2016 BMW 2002 Hommage Concept (originally based on the previous-gen M2) the M2-KS carries forward that spirit with flared fenders, deep side intakes, and dramatic front-end tweaks. The headlights are partially shrouded by reworked arches, while the kidney grille is more angular and set lower between larger air intakes and a sharp front splitter. A sculpted, vented hood adds to the sleek, track-focused vibe.

At the back, things get even more extreme. The rear fenders are massively widened, a big ducktail spoiler sits high on the trunk, and a new diffuser frames the quad exhaust tips. Additional vents around the taillights and smoked accents help tie the design together, creating a look that’s both futuristic and steeped in BMW heritage.

Although no technical specs were shared, the M2-KS rides low and wide, hinting at upgraded suspension and a possible performance boost. Saleem’s design isn’t just for show—it feels ready for the track.

For context, the most powerful production version of the G87 M2 is the M2 CS, which puts out 523 hp from its turbocharged inline-six. With tuners like Manhart pushing these engines past 700 hp, there’s plenty of room for a version like this to back up its looks with real muscle.

In short, the M2-KS is a reminder of just how much potential the modern M2 still holds.
