Jeep’s New Stargazer Concept Packs A Telescope Instead Of Extra Horsepower

Jeep has been expanding its appeal in recent years, but it has also been careful to remain true to its roots as an off-road specialist. The Avenger is the best example of that balancing act. It’s Jeep’s smallest car, made specifically for the European market, and it became one of the brand’s most successful launches ever in that region in short order. Now Jeep is using it as the base for a one-off special called the Avenger Stargazer.
The concept takes its cue from Jeep’s partnership with DarkSky UK, a group whose mission is to protect and promote natural night skies.

A study from Jeep in the UK found that many people are not familiar with the things they can see above them at night - nearly a third said they struggle to identify even basic constellations. The Stargazer is meant to inspire people to step outside and enjoy connecting with the night sky in a simple and accessible way.
Alongside the concept, Jeep also previewed a new trim level coming in 2026 called the Avenger Summit SkyView. This version will add a sunroof, built-in navigation, hands-free tailgate, and passive entry, expanding the Avenger lineup with a more feature-rich option.

The concept itself includes several thoughtful additions designed for stargazing. The sunroof holds a smart telescope that can be controlled from a device inside the car. In the trunk, Jeep built a dedicated storage unit for the gear you’d typically need on a night out: binoculars, the telescope mount, red-light headlamps, gloves that work with touchscreens, and weather-ready clothing.
On the exterior, the Avenger is covered in reflective wrapping that depicts constellations and planets. Inside, cabin lights are replaced with softer red tones, rather than traditional white or yellow, to minimize glare and preserve night vision.

It’s still unknown if the Avenger or the Stargazer will reach American shores. At the moment, Stellantis isn’t moving in that direction.
The project is more about showing off the flexibility of the Avenger platform and Jeep’s willingness to pursue creative ways of bridging outdoor passions and its smallest model.
