You Can Now Buy A Kimera EVO38 For $350 (Sort Of)

If you've ever drooled over a Kimera Automobili build, you already know the problem: these things are absurdly cool and absurdly expensive. Kimera's restomods take cues from the legendary Lancia 037 rally car. They are the kind of machines that make your wallet faint on sight. We're talking well north of half a million dollars for the real deal. Ouch.
But here's the good news for the financially responsible (or just plain broke): There's now a Kimera you can afford - and it doesn't even require garage space. It's shelf- or tabletop-ready.

Meet the 1:18 scale Kimera EVO38, a miniature version of the wild restomod unveiled last year. It’s made by Tecnomodel, a brand known for taking tiny cars very seriously.
Buyers get to choose between two colors. One is a deep, metallic red that screams “Italian sports car.” The other is a goldish yellow that’s a little louder and very much in line with the full-size car’s launch look. Either way, it’s a win.

Carbon fiber detailing is everywhere - just like on the real car. The splitter, grille, bumper intakes, side blades, mirror caps, skirts, and rear diffuser are all finished in exposed carbon. On a model this size, that contrast adds a ton of visual drama. It’s the kind of thing that makes you lean in and say, “Wait… is that real carbon?” (It’s not, but still.)
Then, there are the rally-style wheels wrapped in teeny-tiny Pirelli P Zero tires, complete with the red lettering you’d expect on the full-scale version.

Since this is a resin model, don’t expect opening doors or a hood you can lift. Meanwhile, the cabin is packed with retro vibes. You get classic-style gauges, bucket seats, and even a view of the mid-mounted engine through a clear cover. It’s basically a time machine back to Group B, just shrunk down and much safer to own.
As a reminder, the real Kimera EVO38 packs a turbocharged 2.2-liter four-cylinder making 600 horsepower, hooked up to a six-speed manual and a rally-inspired all-wheel-drive system. There’s even an electro-hydraulic diff lock. Because it’s built to go hard, not just look pretty.

Naturally, Kimera keeps things exclusive. The real EVO38 is limited to just 38 cars, all of which are already spoken for by very happy (and very wealthy) owners. The scale model follows the same philosophy, with production capped at just 150 units worldwide.
Price? €300, or about $350. You may not be able to afford a real Kimera EVO38. But a tiny one? That dream is very much alive.
