Why The Maybach S680 Emerald Isle Is The Most Exclusive Sedan Of 2025

Monterey Car Week is where carmakers bring their most glamorous toys, and Mercedes-Maybach showed up with something that fits the scene perfectly. It’s called the Maybach S680 Emerald Isle, and it’s about as far from the regular sedan as you can get.
The paint job alone feels like a love letter to California’s coast. The upper half is a deep, jewel-green inspired by Monterey’s cypress trees. The lower half is a pearly white meant to match the sands of Pebble Beach. The two-tone finish makes the big Maybach look like it belongs parked on a clifftop, glass of champagne in hand.

Inside the Maybach S680 Emerald Isle, it’s all about slow, careful craftsmanship. The seats are wrapped in hand-stitched light brown Nappa leather, the headliner is quilted black Nappa, and the piano black trim looks like it was polished for days. Even the floor mats have leather piping. On the console sits a small badge quietly reminding you this is “1 of 25.” Oh, and there’s also a custom scent piped through the vents.

Naturally, the back is where you’d want to ride. Reclining chairs, folding tables, a fridge, and champagne flutes are all part of the package. You could cross the country in this thing and step out looking fresher than when you got in.

Under the hood is a twin-turbo V12 with 621 horsepower, enough to shove this 5,300-pound palace from 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds. That’s sports-car quick for something with a fridge in the back.

Only 25 will be sold in the US, all arriving this fall. No price yet, but the regular S680 starts at $240,500, so expect more. At least buyers also get a leather gift box with the keys and a bottle of that bespoke fragrance.
