When A Rolls-Royce Hits The Gym: Meet The CoupéTail
by AutoExpert | 4 April, 2025
Alright, so Engler Automotive is back at it—and this time, they’ve taken a Rolls-Royce and basically said, “What if we made this thing cooler, faster, and a whole lot more dramatic?” The result is what they’re calling the CoupéTail, and yeah, it’s a vibe.
Engler started with the Rolls-Royce Ghost. They chopped it into a sleek two-door coupe, gave it rear-hinged doors, and turned the whole thing into something that looks like it should be parked outside a modern art museum, not your usual valet stand.

Now, here’s where it gets spicy. The CoupéTail keeps that big ol’ twin-turbo V12 under the hood, but Engler gave it a full workout. They haven’t shared all the numbers, but they’re saying it puts down over 750 horsepower and nearly 1,000 Nm of torque. That’s way more than the stock Ghost, which tops out at around 591 hp.
They told Carscoops they upgraded the turbos, the cooling system, and even the engine management—basically everything that helps this thing breathe better and go faster. And they were smart about it too. Most of the original Rolls parts stay intact, so owners still get the factory warranty. Clever.

The result? A 0–100 km/h time under 4 seconds and a top speed of around 300 km/h. That’s actually quicker than the new all-electric Spectre coupe Rolls just launched, which is wild when you think about it. Plus, Engler lowered the car by 25mm and added more soundproofing inside, so even though it moves like a rocket, it still feels like a Rolls on the inside—quiet, plush, and absurdly comfortable.
They’re only making 19 of these things, and five of them are being turned into straight-up art pieces in collaboration with an artist. Even the Spirit of Ecstasy—the little winged figure on the hood—is getting a custom-sculpted redesign.

Of course, it ain’t cheap. The CoupéTail starts at around €2.2 million (roughly $2.39 million), and that’s before taxes, shipping, or whatever crazy import fees come with it. For perspective, a regular Ghost starts around $357K in the U.S., and the Spectre is about $400K. So yeah, this is for the kind of buyer who doesn’t ask for the price—they just ask when it’s ready.

The CoupéTail is for the rare few who want all that luxury but with more punch, more noise, and way more drama. Would we pick this over the Spectre? Man, tough call. If we had that kind of cash, maybe I’d just get both and call it a day.
