What Are Your Thoughts On Lamborghini's 2022 New Countach?

The rebuilt Lamborghini Countach supercar has been leaked online ahead of its expected unveiling this weekend at Monterey Car Week. We can see that the company used an early LP400 model as a starting place for the restoration, as it lacks the later vehicles' massive rear wing and wide hips.

A triangular outlet that crosses the space between the door and the chassis, as well as the slatted motor cover and trapezoidal rear light frames, have all been reproduced. The pop-up lights have been removed (due to pedestrian safety issues), but the redesigned car's headlamps are shaped similarly to the Countach's side lights.

But there's one thing these photos can't reveal: what's fueling the new 2021 Countach. Lamborghini, on the other hand, announced earlier this year that it will transition away from exclusively internal combustion vehicles and toward an electric range.

The first step of the company's strategy would celebrate the internal combustion engine by introducing two new V12 vehicles in 2021 and 2022, paying respect to its advantages.

This Countach reincarnation might come with a non-electrically powered V12, but Lamborghini could also utilize the vehicle as a testing ground for upcoming hybrid vehicles, possibly based on the mild-hybrid system used in the V12 Sian muscle car.

According to other released material, this last alternative is the most plausible. LPI 800-4 badging has surfaced on social media, implying an electric engine and four-wheel drive for the next Countach. In 2014, Lamborghini put the LPI name on its plug-in hybrid, V10-powered Asterion prototype.

LPI comes for ‘Longitudinale Posteriore Ibrido,' implying that the new performance car will have a mid-mounted motor with a longitudinal inclination and hybrid technology; 800 could allude to the powertrain's production in metric horsepower, as seen on other Lamborghini designs, implying a power number of 789 bhp.
