Volvo XC60 Gets A Mild Facelift For 2026—Here’s What’s New
by AutoExpert | 18 February, 2025
The second-generation Volvo XC60 has been the brand’s best-seller since its 2017 debut, and Volvo isn’t about to let that change. For the 2026 model year, the midsize SUV gets a mild refresh to keep it competitive.
The last update in 2021 brought a revised grille, new wheels, fresh color choices, and an improved infotainment system. The latest tweaks follow a similar formula—subtle exterior changes, some interior refinements, and a tech upgrade.

On the outside, the most noticeable difference is the grille, which now features a diagonal line pattern similar to the updated XC90’s. The taillights are darker and there are new wheel options and extra paint choices.

Inside, Volvo has upgraded the materials to enhance the premium feel, offering Quilted Nordico and Navy Herringbone Weave upholstery. Other improvements include a better wireless phone charger and redesigned cupholders.

The most significant change is the infotainment system. The screen has grown from 9.0 inches to 11.2 inches, boasts sharper visuals, and runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. Volvo claims it’s twice as fast as the previous system and 10 times quicker at rendering graphics. The improved UI will be standard on all new Volvos this year, and even models built since 2020 will get an over-the-air update in 2025.

Mechanically, the Volvo XC60 stays the same. In the U.S., buyers will still get the B5 mild-hybrid with 247 hp or the T8 plug-in hybrid with 455 hp. Europe and the UK will also have the T6 PHEV, which offers 345 hp. Pricing details will be announced closer to launch.
