Verge TS Pro Breaks World Record For Longest Distance By An Electric Motorcycle

With its all-electric TS Pro motorcycle, Verge has just established an amazing record, claiming the Guinness World Record for the most distance traveled by an electric motorbike. Over sixteen hours in London, the TS Pro travelled 193 miles (310.6km), completing the ride with 7% battery still left. Given how difficult it is to create electric bikes that are both strong and have a respectable range, that is a rather amazing achievement.
Unlike electric automobiles, electric motorcycles have not yet become really popular. One reason is that the batteries are weighty; in terms of bikes, weight is quite important. The TS Pro, however, seems to show that one may have the best of both worlds—power and range—without feeling as though one is riding a tank.

With a hubless motor—pretty unusual—the TS Pro runs on and boasts an incredible 738 lb-ft of torque and 137 horsepower. In approximately 3.5 seconds it can go from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h). At 540 pounds (245 kg), it's hefty, but for an electric bike, it's not too awful. That's faster than some sports vehicles. For most daily journeys, Verge says the TS Pro's range of up to 217 miles (350 km) is more than plenty.

Fairly speaking, this record ride lacked exactly a speed challenge. For sixteen hours, the motorcyclists whirled about London at an average speed of roughly 12 mph (19 km/h). Though it's not a high-speed record, it still highlights the TS Pro's potential for long-distance travel; traveling slower helped expand the range.

The bike itself is unique. The TS Pro has a futuristic design thanks to Verge's hubless motor, which also packs cutting-edge technologies and great power. It's about proving that electric bikes can be useful and enjoyable to ride, too, not only about the record.
