Toyota Corolla Axio And Fielder To Wrap Up A 13-Year Run In 2025
by AutoExpert | 19 February, 2025
Toyota Corolla Axio sedans and Fielder wagons are nearing their end of life after more than 10 years of service. The company announced that production will wrap up in October 2025, marking the end of a 13-year run for these practical, budget-friendly models.
These cars were never about being flashy or chasing global recognition; they were all about delivering a reliable, no-nonsense option for the Japanese market. Since 2012, they’ve been a favorite for people who needed something simple and affordable—especially fleet buyers.

Even though they’ve been updated a few times over the years, the Axio and Fielder have stuck to their original formula. They’re built on the B platform, the same as the older Yaris, so they’re a bit smaller than other Corollas.

As for what’s under the hood, it’s mostly the basics: gas engines and hybrid powertrains, with front-wheel drive being the standard. Some versions even offered all-wheel drive for those who wanted a little extra grip.

If you’re thinking about grabbing one before they’re gone, the Toyota Corolla Axio starts at ¥1,639,600 (around $10,800), and the Fielder starts at ¥1,786,400 (about $11,800). It’s unclear exactly when Toyota will stop taking orders, but reports say there’s a waiting list for these cars.
