Toyota Mirai Drops Limited Trim, Packs More Features Into 2025 XLE

Toyota’s making some changes to the Mirai lineup for 2025, saying goodbye to the range-topping Limited trim and sticking with just the XLE. Before you feel too bummed, Toyota’s sweetening the deal by adding some nice extras as standard equipment.
The 2025 Toyota Mirai XLE now comes with heated exterior mirrors, digital key tech, and a panoramic view monitor. Inside, you’ll find front footwell illumination, plus front and rear parking assist with automatic braking—handy for tight spots. The Mirai still rocks sleek LED lights, 19-inch aluminum wheels, and a classy cabin with heated SofTex front seats, dual 12.3-inch displays, and a wireless smartphone charger.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, with Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. There’s also Traffic Jam Assist, Road Sign Assist, and a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Essentially, it provides support in a variety of situations.

Underneath, the Mirai’s still on the GA-L platform with its trio of hydrogen storage tanks, a fuel cell, a 1.24 kWh battery, and an electric motor pushing 182 hp to the rear wheels. 0-60 mph in 9.2 seconds is quick enough for a luxury hydrogen cruiser. More importantly, the Toyota Mirai can cover an EPA-estimated 402 miles between fill-ups—no range anxiety here.

Pricing starts at $51,795 before a $1,095 destination fee—up $1,605 from before, but the new goodies mostly make up for it. And if you’re lucky enough to live in California, where the Mirai is exclusively available, you get $15,000 worth of complimentary hydrogen fuel. Toyota’s also tossing in an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty on key fuel cell components and a “complimentary rental experience.” That means 21 days of free rental car use if you need to road trip somewhere hydrogen stations aren’t a thing yet.

So yeah, no more Limited trim, but the 2025 Toyota Mirai XLE comes pretty loaded—and those extra perks definitely help take the sting out of the price bump.
