Top 2014 Biggest Auto Disappointments
by AllAutoExperts | 17 April, 2020
The auto world is constantly developing and it brings us new concepts and models on a yearly basis. Considering all of the outcomes in the technological world, the news from the car producers brings nothing but joy. But there is also news that doesn't manage to impress the public; failed car models that nobody quite understands their meaning.
Here is a list of some of the biggest failures in 2014:
The new Acura TLX

This car came as a replacement for TSX and TL, being perceived by the company as the future brand's savior. Although sales are promising, this car is no competition for BMW. The model does have some admirable features, like the all-wheel-drive super system and the optional V6, but we don't quite see how this car can be considered a success.
Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge

There has been no official confirmation on producing this model and nobody seems to know why this delay. This concept car is gorgeous and it would be a pity if it didn't make it to production.
Toyota Mirai

Although the idea of a Toyota running on hydrogen sounds great, with zero emissions and an autonomy of 300 miles, looking at this thing is practically impossible.
Lotus Esprit

No way might Lotus ever be revived because there isn't enough money in the world to do it. Word says that Lotus is focusing on an Evora crossover version. Really?
BMW

The new M3 and M4 have electronic direction instead of the old fashioned hydraulic one. The V8 has also been replaced with a twin-turbo 6 inline. And the board computer has more power over the car than the driver.
General Motors

Approximately 28 million GM cars have been recalled because of a faulty switch. And GM has been aware of the flaw ever since 2001. Fail!
