by AllAutoExperts | 17 April, 2020
The new Alta Motors Dirt Tracker electric concept comes from a company formerly known as BRD Motorcycles. The San-Francisco based company has managed to raise over $17 mln from crowdfunding for implementing the idea of an electric motorbikes startup. The money has also come from Tesla's co-founders - Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning.
The Dirt Tracker concept may join the current production that consists of a street-legal Supermoto and an off-road track Motorcross. The latter runs on 19-inch carbon fiber wheels and BSR WP suspension. The prices for the motorbikes are around $15.500 and up for the street-legal version.

The SM runs on a 5.8 kWh battery pack, which is able to cover approximately 50 miles. The motorbike weighs 270 pounds and will need six hours for charging, at 110 volts. The MX, on the other hand, weighs 251 pounds and has a power of 40 hp and 120 Nm torque. It will charge in 2.5 hours at 220 volts.

The original SM, the MX, and the Dirt Bike Concept will be presented at the One Moto Show in Portland, Oregon, from February, 10 to 12.
