This Is The BMW M2 For People Who Actually Track Their Cars

The current BMW M2 already feels raw in a good way. It is small, rear-wheel drive, and always seems ready to play. For most people, it is more than enough car. But BMW knows some owners are not buying an M2 to cruise quietly to the grocery store. They want to push it hard.
So BMW built something for them. The new M Performance Track Kit is basically a factory-approved way to turn your M2 into something that looks and feels closer to a race car.

The first thing you notice is the large swan-neck rear wing. It is inspired by the M4 GT race cars and can actually move. In Race mode, it slides back for more serious aero. In Street mode, it remains road legal. You can also adjust the angle yourself. BMW even added a brake light into the wing, so it does not feel like an afterthought.

There is more than just a wing, though. Up front, you get an adjustable splitter and diffuser to help with downforce, plus small aero tweaks and an extra oil cooler scoop. Under the car, things get properly serious. Four-way adjustable coilovers, adjustable top mounts, and the option to lower or raise the ride height by up to 20 mm. This is the kind of setup you dial in before a track session, not something you fit just for looks.

BMW is also offering a lighter M Performance exhaust for the M2 CS. It drops about 8 kg and can be had with titanium or carbon tips. It should make the straight six sound even more alive, which, honestly, is half the fun.

The BMW M2 M Performance Track Kit costs €23,500 before installation, and the exhaust starts at €8,343. It is not cheap, but it feels honest. This is more about giving people who actually track their cars the tools to make them better, straight from BMW itself.
