The Lexus LM500h Just Got Even Quieter And Smarter — Here’s What’s New
by AutoExpert | 20 July, 2025
The Lexus LM was already one of the most luxurious minivans on the road. Basically a first-class lounge on wheels, it is now getting a few quiet but clever upgrades, at least in Japan.
Visually, nothing’s changed. From the outside, the Lexus LM500h still looks just as sleek and upscale as before. But step inside, and you’ll notice Lexus has fine-tuned a few key details to make the rear passenger experience even more relaxing.

One of the biggest changes is better sound insulation. Lexus added extra noise-absorbing and vibration-damping materials around the rear wheel arches and tailgate, making the cabin even quieter. For a vehicle built around comfort, that’s a win.
In the ultra-plush Executive version, there’s also a small but smart change—the button to open and close the sliding doors has been moved from the ceiling to the center console between the back seats. Lexus also added a small tray for your phone or personal items and a new floor light near the rear doors to help passengers step in and out more easily at night.

Both the Executive and the six-seat Version L now come with brighter ambient lighting. If it’s too much for your eyes, no worries, as the brightness can be adjusted.
Under the hood, everything stays the same. The Lexus LM500h still packs a 2.4-liter turbocharged hybrid setup, delivering 366 horsepower to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Smooth, powerful, and quiet, just how you’d expect a luxury minivan to feel.

Orders open in Japan on August 1. Pricing for the six-seater Version L holds steady at around ¥15 million, or $101,000. The Executive trim gets a slight bump to ¥20 million, about $134,700. These updates are expected to roll out to other markets soon, so if you’ve got your eye on the LM, this is one to watch.
