Take Fiat 500 And 500X Yachting Editions If You Cannot Afford A Real Yacht

New Fiat family members are joining the party, with the carmaker launching the Yachting versions of the 500 and 500X models. The models come with electrically operated soft-tops and are inspired by… obviously: yachts and sailing.
The premiere took place on July 1st, celebrating the premiere of the Green Pass – the freedom of movement within the European Union’s 27 countries. The video called “Welcome back dolce vita”, marking the launch of the edition, was shot in Capri and carries the energy of the 50s and 60s.
500X Yachting holds on to its roof and rear windscreen, having its top replaced with fabric. This one opens up with the press of a button in a matter of seconds. This specific bodystyle cannot be called a classic convertible. It only comes as an alternative to the VW T-Roc Cabriolet, cruising in Europe.
The Collectors’ Edition of 500X Yachting comes in a special Blu Venezia paint finish, with the soft-top being matched with blue material. The car is running on sea blue 18-inches alloy wheels, with a blue and ivory line on the profile. Just like a luxury yacht.
The interior features mahogany insert on the dashboard, blue embroidery on the white seat upholstery, aluminum door sill plates, with the Yachting logo, of course.
Although it is not official, Yachting Edition may be running on a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel engine, delivering 128 hp. It seems to be teamed up with a 6-speed manual transmission, powering the front wheels. The 500X model will also come with a 118 hp gasoline 1.0-liter engine and a 148 hp 1.3-liter engine – this one being available only with the DCT automatic gearbox.
Good old Fiat 500 Cabrio comes with a Yachting trim, as well. Finished in Blu Dipinto di Blu, Cabrio features lots of chrome details, a blue soft top, and 16-inch wheels. Inside it surprises with a seafaring wood dashboard and Frau leather inserts on the ivory seats.
The Yachting editions will be available in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and France, with each country’s initials included on the badge.
