Suzuki Swift AllGrip FX Is The Tiny Adventurer You Didn’t Know You Needed

Suzuki Netherlands has put together a fun little twist on the Swift, called the AllGrip FX: basically a compact hatch turned into a mini adventure-mobile. While it may not be a dedicated off-road vehicle, the AllGrip FX, thanks to a few clever upgrades, is well-suited for light exploration.
First off, they’ve added a Thule roof rack that can hold all your outdoor essentials — think a spare wheel, snow tracks, and whatever gear you might need when you decide to test the Swift’s limits.

Up front, there’s a neatly integrated Tralert LED light bar in the grille, along with glossy black wheel arch trims and matching black Suzuki badges and AllGrip decals. The rear bumper gets a bit of rugged rubber trim for added protection. The Suzuki Swift AllGrip FX also rolls on 196/55R16 all-season tires wrapped around black alloy wheels. Inside, they’ve dressed things up a bit with leather-trimmed seats and practical rubber floor mats. There’s also a Dometic cool box and storage container thrown in, adding to the whole weekend getaway vibe.

Underneath, it’s still a Swift, but with Suzuki’s AllGrip all-wheel drive system. While it’s no Jimny, the system does kick in when needed, sending power to the rear wheels if the front ones slip. It’s not lifted or fitted with upgraded suspension, but thanks to chunkier tires and the AWD setup, it does sit about 32 mm higher than the base model. Power comes from a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine with a 12V mild hybrid system, putting out 82 horsepower and paired with a manual gearbox.

Price-wise, it’s not the cheapest small car out there. In the Netherlands, the base front-wheel-drive Swift starts at €22,299, while the AWD version starts at €28,449. For someone who wants something compact, quirky, and capable of handling the occasional muddy trail, it’s definitely an interesting pick.
