Suzuki Jimny Gets Toyota Hilux Champ Face In Wild New Conversion Kit
by AutoExpert | 4 November, 2025
The Suzuki Jimny has always been its own thing. Small, boxy, and full of character, it never needed help to stand out. While Suzuki and Toyota have been swapping badges for years, the Jimny has stayed untouched. Until now.
This time, the twist comes from Japan’s tuner ill Garage. They created the CH:AMP-a conversion that gives the Jimny the face of a Toyota Hilux Champ, the same little pickup that inspired Toyota’s new baby Land Cruiser FJ.

The new look works surprisingly well. Out go the Jimny’s round lights, replaced by square ones and a solid, simple grille. The black trim, wider fenders, and two-piece bumper make it look tougher and cleaner at the same time. The demo car rides lower, sitting on chunky tires and aftermarket wheels. There are even fake tow hooks to finish the look.
Inside, things get more retro. You can choose between Cognac Brown or Charcoal Black seat covers, with leather and braided inserts that feel straight out of a classic 4x4. It is simple, warm, and just right for the Jimny’s vibe.

From some angles, you might mistake it for a Toyota. That is probably why “CH:AMP” is written in bright red across the grille, just to avoid confusion.
The kit fits both the three-door Jimny Sierra and the five-door Nomad, but not the tiny kei version. Buyers can order just the parts or have ill Garage build the full conversion and deliver it ready to drive.

Prices start at about ¥360,800 ($2,300) with halogen lights or ¥386,100 ($2,500) for LEDs. Extra options include lowering springs, tow hooks, fog lights, a new bumper, or even a sportier muffler.
If the Toyota look is not your thing, ill Garage also builds a Ford Bronco-style version. Different face, same fun little Jimny spirit. It proves once again that this small 4x4 might be compact, but it still has big personality.
