Someone wants to put a TDI engine in a Bentley Continental GT. Is it a good or bad idea?

The owner of a Bentley Continental GT from Luxembourg loves his car very much but got tired refueling the British mammoth every day (even twice a day). So he thought it would be better if it had a diesel engine under the hood.
Bentley Continental GT is a great, luxurious, comfortable, very fast, and very thirsty car - at least the 6.0-liter W12 engine version. In other words, we understand why anyone would want to use it every day, even if the fuel budget would be extremely high.
In fact, I even found someone who has managed to gather around 200,000 km in his GT and was unhappy about the need to refuel daily or even twice a day. So he asked the people from Dutch Build to replace the 6.0-liter W12 with a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine taken from a Volkswagen Phaeton.
The whole operation is tremendous and involves a lengthy list of changes, including changing the transmission, the ABS module, the braking system, and the alternator.
After the completion of the engine replacement process (which will get more power, by the way) the will re-design the interior, according to the client's wishes.
The final result should be like an unwanted child having as Volkswagen and Bentley parents who will live well and happy on the roads of Luxembourg.
