Skoda Enyaq RS Race Concept Drops 697 Pounds And Goes Full Track Mode

Skoda has revealed a new version of its Enyaq RS Race concept, this time based on the updated Enyaq Coupe RS, and it’s more focused and stripped down than ever.
To cut weight, Skoda swapped out traditional materials for eco-friendly biocomposites made from flax fibers. These are used on the bumpers, fenders, roof, rear wing, and even inside on the dashboard and door panels. They’re just as strong and light as carbon fiber and could show up in future production cars.

The Skoda Enyaq RS Race concept also gets lightweight polycarbonate windows, helping shave 697 pounds off the standard Enyaq Coupe RS. It now rides on 20-inch OZ Racing wheels and features a widebody kit, aggressive bumpers, a huge diffuser, and tiny mirrors to reduce drag. Braking is handled by carbon-ceramic discs with massive 10-piston calipers up front.

Inside, the Skoda Enyaq RS Race has a full race setup. The cabin has been stripped of anything non-essential. There’s a 5-inch digital display, a 13-inch center screen, racing seats with six-point harnesses, a roll cage, and a quick-release steering wheel. A built-in fire suppression system and a sound system that mimics a race car above 19 mph round out the package.

Underneath, Skoda gave the RS Race an adjustable suspension, limited-slip differentials front and rear, and a lowered ride height. It’s built to handle like a proper rally car, similar to Skoda’s Fabia RS Rally2. Power comes from the same dual-motor all-wheel drive system as the regular Enyaq RS, with 335 hp. That’s good for 0–62 mph in under five seconds and a top speed of 112 mph.
