Singer’s Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined Is An 8,000 RPM, Carbon-Fiber Dream Machine

Singer is back with another showstopper, and this time, it’s called the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer—a mouthful, sure, but also a masterpiece. This latest project takes the classic Type 964 911 and gives it a full rethink, inside and out, with help from some serious names like Cosworth and Red Bull Advanced Technologies.
At the heart of it is a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, cranking out 420 horsepower and revving past 8,000 rpm.

It’s the first Singer motor to feature water-cooled cylinder heads alongside traditional air-cooled cylinders and the first to bring variable valve timing into the mix. As always, power is sent to the rear wheels through a good old-fashioned six-speed manual gearbox.

The chassis has been stiffened, the suspension upgraded, and carbon-ceramic brakes are tucked behind beautiful 18-inch center-lock wheels. The carbon-fiber body pays homage to the wide-body 911 Carrera Super Sport models of the '80s. This one even gets pop-up headlights tucked inboard of the main lamps. If you want to switch between looks, Singer will let you buy both body styles and swap them as you like.

Inside and underneath, the tech is as modern as it gets. Bosch helped develop new traction control, ABS, and stability systems. Suspension is fully adjustable, with four-way electronically controlled dampers and a ride-height lift system for added practicality.

Singer is only building 100 of these, with each one tailored to the buyer’s tastes. It’s the fifth official restoration model from Singer since the brand launched in 2009.
