This Limited Kangoo Isn’t About Work… It’s About How You Live With It

The Kangoo never really changed its shape or purpose, but in Japan, people see it differently. It is less about deliveries and more about how you live with it. The Couleur edition leans into that mindset.
On paper, it almost looks like a base model. Then the color hits you. Vert Foret, a deep green that feels more like something you would see on hiking gear than on a van. On the Grand Kangoo, you also get Vert Paris and Jaune La Poste, which push it even further into that lifestyle space.

It is still front-wheel drive, and it stays honest about it. No attempt to pretend it is a serious off-roader. But small things help. Michelin CrossClimate tires and an Extended Grip mode give it a bit more confidence when the road gets messy.
Size depends on what you need. The standard version is 4,490 mm long with five seats. The Grand stretches to 4,910 mm, adds two more seats, or opens up to 3,750 liters of space if you clear them out. The barn doors at the back are simple, but they make sense in tight streets.

Engines are straightforward. A 1.3-liter turbo with 129 hp and a dual-clutch, or a 1.5-liter diesel with 114 hp and a manual.
Then there is the catch. Only 100 units for the standard model, split between 40 gasoline and 60 diesel, all priced at ¥4,390,000 ($27,600). Buyers will be selected by lottery, not on a first-come, first-served basis. You enter a lottery and hope.

The Grand version follows the same idea next month, again limited to 100 units. At the end of the day, it is still a Kangoo. Same boxy shape, same practical layout. The difference is how it is framed.
