Ram Rampage Brings Compact Pickup Power To Europe For The First Time
by AutoExpert | 12 November, 2025
Ram is finally giving Europe a truck that actually fits its roads. Now comes the Ram Rampage, a smaller pickup with the same bold attitude as its bigger brothers but built for everyday use. It’s tough, capable, and perfectly sized for real roads.
At just over five meters long, the Rampage feels like a better match for Europe. It’s designed to slot between compact SUVs and midsize pickups, offering everyday comfort with proper workhorse ability.

Stellantis calls it “a bold new entry into the compact lifestyle pickup segment,” but really, it’s just a truck you can actually live with day to day. The Rampage was first developed in Brazil and launched there in 2023. It rides on the same Small Wide unibody platform used by the Fiat Toro, Jeep Compass, and Alfa Romeo Tonale, so it’s built on proven underpinnings.

In Europe, the Ram Rampage will come in two trims. The Rebel gets diesel power and rugged 17-inch all-terrain tires, while the R/T goes sportier with a turbocharged gasoline engine, stiffer suspension, 19-inch wheels, and a more aggressive look.
The 2.2-liter diesel makes 197 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, while the 2.0-liter turbo gas engine pumps out 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. Both use a nine-speed automatic and come with all-wheel drive.

Inside, it’s surprisingly good. There’s a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a 10.3-inch digital cluster, a Harman Kardon sound system, six USB ports, and all the latest driver-assistance tech. The bed can carry up to a ton, proving it’s still built for real work, not just looks.
The Ram Rampage made its first public appearance at the Fieracavalli horse show in Verona, Italy, in early November. Ram called it a “European preview,” meaning pricing and final details are still to come.

Don’t expect to see it in the U.S., though—import tariffs make that too expensive. Instead, Ram’s focusing on a new midsize, ladder-frame pickup for North America, likely the long-awaited successor to the Dakota. In South America, that new Dakota has already been revealed, built on a tough chassis sourced from China.

In Europe, the Rampage marks a fresh start for Ram. It proves the brand can keep its rugged spirit while building a truck that actually fits local roads and everyday life.
