Porsche Pushes Prices Higher For 2026—But Are Buyers Getting More?
by AutoExpert | 29 March, 2025
Porsche’s 2026 lineup is arriving, but buyers are in for a bit of sticker shock. Prices are increasing across the board, with the entry-level 911 being the most affected. Last year, the base 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe started at $122,095. Now, it’ll cost you $129,950—an eye-watering increase of nearly $8,000. It’s the same story for the 911 Carrera Cabriolet, which jumped from $135,395 to $143,150.
The Carrera T and all GTS models see a smaller bump, around $5,000. Meanwhile, the Carrera S, GT3, and GT3 Touring models got off easy with price increases of less than $1,000. Still, when you’re already paying six figures, even a “small” increase stings.

It’s not just the 911 lineup getting more expensive, either. Porsche’s upping prices across the brand. The Panamera, Taycan, Macan, and Cayenne are all getting pricier, too. Part of this is thanks to a hike in Porsche’s “Delivery, Processing, and Handling Fee,” which climbs from $1,995 to $2,250 for 2026 models.

To soften the blow, Porsche’s throwing in a few extras. The base 911 Carrera now comes standard with the Leather Package, previously a $2,840 option. If you’re a fan of customization, you’ll appreciate the new Paint to Sample colors and decal options. Plus, the 992.2 gets some neat tech upgrades, like a better infotainment system with Amazon Alexa integration, support for more third-party apps, and Dolby Atmos audio for Bose and Burmester premium sound systems.

Still, it’s a hard pill to swallow for fans. Porsche buyers are used to paying for exclusivity and performance, but a nearly $8,000 price hike on a base 911 is bound to sting. Even with a few new perks, it feels like customers are paying more just to stay in the game. What do you think? Are the new features worth the extra cash, or is Porsche pushing its luck?
