The NSX Is Coming Back in the Most Driver-Focused Way Possible
by AutoExpert | 22 April, 2026
The NSX coming back through Pininfarina and JAS Motorsport already sounded like a big idea. Seeing the Tensei take shape at Milano Design Week makes it feel more real and a bit more focused.
You see it straight away in the stance. Longer wheelbase, shorter rear overhang, wider track, lower body, bigger wheels. It sits differently, more planted, like it has been stretched and tightened at the same time. Walk around it, and the changes make sense. The front feels lower and sharper, the sides carry more tension, and the rear gets those wider shoulders that give it real presence.

Then the familiar bits start to show. The pop-up headlights are still there, just reworked. The rear spoiler stays integrated into the body. It still reads as an NSX, just pushed further.
The proportions do most of the work, but the details back it up. Those flared fenders and the way the body forms those triangular shapes from above feel very Pininfarina. There is a hint of older Ferrari work in there, especially in how the rear sits.

The powertrain is where they draw a clear line. A naturally aspirated V6, built on the original idea, paired with a six-speed manual. That choice says everything. No hybrid system, no turbos, no paddles. Just response, sound, and driver input. In a world moving the other way, that stands out.
Inside, the focus stays on the driver. The layout keeps the visibility and ergonomics the NSX was known for, but with better materials and more care in the details. Expect custom switchgear and a cleaner finish. If they keep analog gauges, it will fit the whole theme.

Each car will be hand-built at JAS Motorsport in Arluno, with customization handled by Pininfarina in Cambiano. Full details are still coming later in 2026, including price and production numbers.
