Nissan Navara Pro-4X Warrior Is A Rough Pickup Worthy To Ride

Premcar has come with some special touches for the newly unveiled Nissan Navara Pro-4X Warrior and the result is amazing. According to Bernie Quinn, engineering director of Australian Premcar, the goal was to create a robust and rough pickup. What can we say: goal achieved.
It all begins with the suspension, which after Premcar’s revision, got an extra 40 mm (1.5 inches) of ground clearance. The total figure now reaches 260 mm (10.2 inches). The approach angle got directly improved by the suspension’s tweaks, now reaching 36 degrees. On the other hand, the departure angle decreased from 19.8 degrees to 19 degrees.
Another upgrade refers to the compression rates and the high-speed rebound, which have also been increased by 100 and 50 percent, accordingly. The jounce bumper has also gotten bigger, engaging the chassis rail much earlier, thus providing better management of wheel movement.
Improved off-road capacities usually come with a compromise on behalf of comfort. Not in this case, though. Nissan Navara Pro-4X Warrior comes with a softer and more controllable ride, courtesy of the revisions signed by Premcar. The pickup is running on 275/70/R17 Cooper Discovery All Terrain AT3 tires. A red Navara badge and a Safari-like bulbar are other additions completing the aggressive looks of the pickup.
The vehicle got a little extra-weight – 100 kg (220 lbs) allowing it to carry a 961 kg (2.118 lbs) payload, with a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes (7.716 lbs).
Performances haven’t really changed from the regular Navara Pro-4X, still involving a 2.3-liter four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine delivering 187 hp at 331 lb-ft of torque.
As for the interior, the standard remains standard, as well. Navara’s 7.0-inch instrument cluster with an 8.0-inch infotainment screen, supporting AndoidAuto and Apple CarPlay.
The prices promise to be quite competitive. We’ll see about that, as the standard Pro-4X has a price beginning at USD45.884.
