It has been officially confirmed that the new Nissan Leaf will be presented worldwide in September this year, becoming available to be bought in 2017. The news comes from Tim Gallagher, senior manager of Nissan's Leaf and Electric Vehicles.
Although not many details have been made public, rumors say that Leaf will come with a certain degree of autonomy, which will allow it to drive in a single lane. The new Leaf will look like some kind of production version of the IDS concept, which has been revealed in 2015 at the Tokyo Motor Show.

One of the very few confirmed facts is that Nissan Leaf will have an autonomy of over 200 miles. If you already own the first-gen Leaf, then Nissan has a proposal for those whose lease is running out. The program is called Select and allows the customers to extend their contracts that are expiring in 2017 and get their names on the priority list for the new-gen Leaf.

Nissan is sure that there will be plenty of customers eager to get their hands on the new Nissan Leaf, especially since it comes packed with all sort of technologies and innovative design.
