New Toyota RAV4 Japan Specs, Pricing, And Modellista Accessories

After making its rounds in the US and China, the new Toyota RAV4 has finally returned home to Japan. However, Toyota didn’t just drop the standard SUV and walk away; they brought a range of custom kits from Modellista to ensure these cars actually have some personality.
In Japan, the powertrain lineup is quite simple: hybrid or nothing. That means a 2.5-liter system with around 237 hp and all-wheel drive. This is more than enough for city and highway driving, and if you want the super-fast plug-in model or the sporty GR Sport variant, you’ll have to wait until 2026.

The interesting thing is the different ways to configure the exterior look. Toyota has essentially divided the RAV4 into two “personalities” based on how the owner uses their vehicle:

1. The City Slicker (Lifestyle Package)
This one is for people who want their SUV to look like it belongs at a high-end mall. It’s got a full body kit with a front splitter, side skirts, and extra LED lights everywhere. It’s low, sleek, and looks great on the optional 20-inch wheels. Inside, they’ve added better ambient lighting and some smart storage bins for the trunk.

2. The Weekend Warrior (Outdoor Package)
If you actually plan on getting some dirt on the tires, this is the one. It ditches the fancy spoilers for chunky fenders, skid plates that look like brushed aluminum, and a rugged new grille. They even offer it with 18-inch wheels in a "Matte Olive" finish that looks pretty tough. Inside, it’s all about utility—think heavy-duty shades and clever gear hooks.

Now, none of this makes the car faster or better off-road, but it definitely looks the part. Price-wise, the base car starts at about $29,000. But as for these kits, if you're in the market for one, make sure you've got the cash: Outdoor is in the $3,300 range, and Lifestyle is more like $3,800. Well, it's still less so than having a custom SUV built from scratch.
