Morgan Supersport Is Retro Muscle With A Twist
by AutoExpert | 12 March, 2025
Morgan has just pulled the wraps off its new flagship roadster—the Supersport. It replaces the Plus Six but keeps that unmistakable Morgan silhouette, now paired with smarter styling, better practicality, and a more refined chassis that nudges it closer to rivals like Porsche and Aston Martin.
From the outside, it’s still very much a Morgan, but with a sleeker, more aerodynamic twist. The front end gets a sharper bumper design and chunkier LED headlights with built-in indicators, giving it a more modern, purposeful look. The signature horseshoe grille remains, leading into a long, vented bonnet flanked by classic curvy fenders.

Standard 18-inch Superlite wheels come fitted out of the box, but you can upgrade to 19-inch forged Aerolite alloys if you’re after a bit more flair—and a reduction in unsprung weight while you’re at it. Around the back, the tail has been cleaned up too. Low-slung LED taillights now sit within a diffuser, flanked by dual exhaust tips. The soft-top mohair roof is standard, but if you want a more coupe-like feel, there’s an optional carbon composite hardtop you can pop on.

The Morgan Supersport’s body is hand-shaped aluminum, sitting over a traditional ash wood frame. The brand says 60% of the aluminum used is recycled—an impressive nod toward sustainability without compromising character.
Inside, owners will find a broad choice of high-quality Scottish leather and classic wood trim options, but also some long-overdue usability improvements. There’s more storage space behind the seats, a proper glovebox, a small boot, and even a luggage rack if you need extra room for weekend bags. Morgan hasn’t shared the exact boot capacity, but they say it’ll hold overnight bags and the car’s sidescreens comfortably.

Technology has also taken a step forward. There’s a new audio system from Sennheiser, wireless phone charging, and hands-free calling. Underneath, things get even more interesting. It rides on Morgan’s updated CXV aluminum spaceframe chassis, which is stiffer than before. There’s also a new steering setup and a reworked suspension system with longer travel, aimed at making the car more engaging to drive without compromising comfort. For the performance-minded, adjustable Nitron dampers and a limited-slip differential are available too.

Despite all the upgrades, the Morgan Supersport still weighs just 1,170 kg (2,579 pounds), keeping that nimble feel intact. Power comes from a familiar BMW-sourced turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, pushing out 335 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.

Pricing starts at £85,000 (around $110,000 before tax), with on-the-road costs in the UK bringing it closer to £105,160 ($136,000). Of course, optional extras like the £6,600 Aerolite wheels or the £3,000 Active Sport Exhaust can push the total even higher. Orders are now open, and the first test drives in the UK are expected to begin by mid-April.
