More Power, More Clearance, And Mud-Ready Looks: The 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland Edition Is Here
by AutoExpert | 19 May, 2025
Toyota isn’t done with the bZ just yet. After showing off the latest version of the electric crossover (formerly known as the bZ4X), they’ve now rolled out a more rugged trim called the "Woodland Edition." Think of it as the outdoorsy sibling that’s ready to get a little muddy.
The Woodland swaps out the standard body-colored wheel arches for black cladding and throws on new 18-inch wheels with removable covers. You can even spec it with optional all-terrain tires. Toyota also gave it a slight suspension lift—just 0.1 inch—but every bit counts. Ground clearance now sits at 8.3 inches.

Roof rails and flatter taillights help round out the tougher look. Size-wise, the Woodland Edition is nearly six inches longer and slightly taller at the back. That extra size means more room for your gear—cargo space is now over 30 cubic feet with the rear seats up, about 2.3 cubes more than before.

Under the skin, the Woodland keeps things simple: it comes exclusively with dual-motor all-wheel drive and the bigger 74.7-kWh battery. Toyota says you can expect about 260 miles of range, which is a little less than other AWD versions but still solid. Fast charging? Yep. It can go from 10 to 80 percent in around 30 minutes, and with the NACS port, it’ll plug into Tesla Superchargers too.

The Woodland’s motors crank out 375 horsepower. That's 37 more than the standard AWD model. Toyota hasn’t said how quick it is yet, but for reference, the Trailseeker (which shares the same setup) does 0–60 in 4.4 seconds, so it should be zippy. There’s also a Premium Package if you want a bit more comfort. It adds a fixed panoramic roof, a JBL audio system, ventilated front seats with memory settings, and a digital rearview mirror.

Toyota even threw in a fresh new paint option called Stepping Stone, joining colors like Trueno Blue, Raven Black, Pavement, Steel, and Halo. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but expect it to be higher than the current bZ4X XLE AWD, which starts just over $40K. Full pricing will drop closer to the Woodland’s launch in early 2026. It’s also heading overseas to Europe and Japan—where it’ll be known as the bZ4X Touring—sometime next spring.
