McLaren 750S Project Viva Is A Rolling Piece Of Las Vegas Art

McLaren and MSO decided to have some fun ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, and the result is Project Viva—a 750S Spider that looks nothing like the ones you normally see on the road. The hardware hasn’t changed, but the custom paintwork completely transforms the car, turning it into something that feels more like Vegas art than a traditional supercar.
McLaren calls the design a “sketch in motion,” and it mixes Muriwai White with a brand-new shade called Vegas Lights — a deep black with tiny flecks of cyan, magenta, and green meant to capture the city’s neon glow. From there, MSO added a whole collection of hand-painted details that tie together Las Vegas history with McLaren’s own story.

You’ll spot a pair of dice showing 1905 and 1963 — the founding years of Las Vegas and McLaren. There are ten stars on the back to mark the brand’s ten Formula 1 Constructors’ titles, and those were actually painted by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

There’s also a small tribute to Bruce McLaren, with his 1970 racing helmet and the Muriwai Trophy worked into the design. Neon-style arrows hint at Vegas signage, and the “Fabulous” script under the rear wing nods to the city’s famous welcome sign. An outline of Nevada and a cactus graphic round out the look.

McLaren didn’t say how long the paintwork took, but judging by the sheer amount of detail, it definitely wasn’t a weekend job. If you’re in Las Vegas, you can see Project Viva in person at the McLaren Experience Center inside the Wynn from November 13 to 20.

As Jonathan Simms from MSO said, Project Viva is basically what the whole department is all about — someone comes in with a cool idea, and the team figures out how to make it happen. That’s exactly what this car is: a 750S Spider that looks like someone bottled up the vibe of Las Vegas and sprayed it across a supercar.
