Maserati Quattroporte GTS recalled for fire hazard!
by AllAutoExperts | 17 April, 2020
Maserati North America has announced a massive recall of all the Quattroporte models delivered to the United States because of a defect that could cause a fire in the car.
The recall service campaign was initiated by NHTSA and is covering a total of 984 Quattroporte GTS models, manufactured between October 1, 2013, and December 31, 2013.

In most cases, it would be just a routine check of contact with a sign which comes from the battery, which could be poorly secured or isolated in the engine compartment. For this reason, the probability of a short circuit is very high, which thus may cause resistance to fire. The same error could cause the engine to simply stop working while the car is being driven, and in this case, we are already talking about the imminent danger of an accident.

Thus, the owners are expected in service for inspection and if necessary replace the defective part. Fortunately, this recall alarm only spreads to cars in the US, not in Europe.
