Manual Transmission Kept On Brand New 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring

Porsche stays true to its good-old range-extending and launches a new model for the 911 GT3. The newcomer – 911 GT3 Touring, has been graciously described as a unique exciting option, comprising the feelings and the performance one would expect from Porsche. 911 GT3 Touring comes with an extra equipment package that is offered at no additional costs. So, what’s new?

No fixed rear wing anymore. Instead, we find a delicately hidden spoiler, which can automatically be extended, and a colored front spoiler. The Touring badges, aluminum window outlines, and some barely noticeable trim changes – that’s basically all that sets the new Porsche aside.

Get inside and take a look at the special embossing on the door trim panels, completing the sleek extended leather upholstery.

Well, that’s kind of it. The Touring didn’t bring anything new to the regular GT3, keeping its 503 hp (375 kW / 510 PS) coming out its 346 lb-ft 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six engine. Pick a 7-speed automatic PDK or do the classic 6-speed manual. But beware: this choice will have a saying on the car’s weight: the automatic dual-clutch PDK comes packed in 1.435 kg (3.163 lbs), while the Row-it-yourself manual transmission will be slightly lighter - 1.418 kg (3.126 lbs).

As for performances, expect to reach 60 mph in 3.2 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds) with the PDK version and 3.7 seconds (o-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds) in the manual version. No changes for the top speed – the manual Touring will not go faster than 197 mph (317 km/h) and the automatic will settle at 199 mph (320 km/h).

Starting price is set at USD 161.100, plus another USD 1.350 for handling, processing, delivering. You may already order your Porsche 911 GT3 Touring 2022 but you won’t get it sooner in the USA sooner than at the beginning of next year. Keep in mind California’s sound restrictions, which will prevent you from ordering it in the manual version in this state.
