Manhart Takes The BMW M240i To M2-Beating Levels
by AutoExpert | 27 January, 2025
Manhart has elevated the already impressive BMW M240i to an entirely new level. With a mix of performance upgrades and eye-catching style, this tuned coupe could easily steal the spotlight from the bigger, badder M2.
Visually, the special BMW M240i turns heads in its blue wrap, accented with gloss black decals. Manhart added a carbon fiber splitter, a carbon diffuser, and a fixed rear wing, giving the M240i a more aggressive and track-ready look. Sitting on stunning gloss white wheels—20x9 up front and 20x10.5 at the rear—the car has a bold stance that’s hard to ignore.

The heart of the transformation lies under the hood. Manhart fitted the M240i’s 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with a new intake manifold, upgraded intercooler, a downpipe featuring a 300-cell catalytic converter, a stainless steel exhaust, and their in-house power box. The outcome is an astounding 496 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. That’s more power than the M2’s 473 hp and 443 lb-ft. It’s wild to think this tuned M240i can outgun its more aggressive sibling.

Handling gets a boost too, thanks to KW Variant 3 coilovers, which let you tweak rebound and compression settings for a tailored ride. If you prefer to keep the factory shocks, Manhart offers lowering springs as an alternative. The tuner has also beefed up the brakes for added stopping power, although the details of this upgrade are still under wraps.

Manhart offers buyers the flexibility to select their preferred upgrades. The power box will set you back €1,185 (around $1,200); the 300-cell catalytic converter downpipe comes in at €2,415 (about $2,500), and the Wagner intercooler is priced at €590 (roughly $610). So, whether you want the full transformation or just a few tweaks, you’ve got options.
