Lamborghini has renewed their record-breaking portfolio by setting a new one and this time it's on ice - the fabulous Lake Baikal lake In Siberia, Russia. For any Lamborghini fan, it's not any news that Urus has it in his blood - setting new top speed records on ice.

This year, during the LAV-racings company's  Days of Speed event that took place in Northern Siberia, had the honor to record it at the beginning of the month. Lamborghini Urus, the Italian super SUV, proudly broke the previously set record on ice and reached 185 mph, performing even better top speed than during the practice runs.

Having the best-performing car isn't enough when you try to make an impression on ice, especially when you participate in a top-speed competition. Your badass car must be coupled with the best driver that exists. Lamborghini knows how to play by the rules and put behind the wheels no one else than the 18-time record holder, Andrey Leontyev, and the result is a new setting record on ice. The good choice they made.

There's also the 1,000-meter (0.62-mile) record performed by Urus with the impressive average speed of 71 mph (114 km/h). Even though the final results won't be announced until April, after a thorough investigation over the results recorded by the FIA and RAF, Lamborghini is happy to state officially that they have broken a top speed record.

They admit that performing on ice is a real challenge for any car, but they're thrilled that Urus Super SUV once again has proven that the inherited performance expected from the automaker was up to the customer's expectations. According to Konstantin Sychev, Lamborghini's Chief Of Eastern Europe and CIS, "in terms of acceleration and top speed, be it highway, off-road route or, on ice," there's no one better than Lamborghini.

The official tech specifications state that Urus Super SUV is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 which delivers 641 horsepower and 850 Newton-meters and can reach 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds, 0-124 mph (200 km/h) in 12.8 seconds, and a top speed of 190 mph.

Imagine the sound of an Ururs on ice - must've been thrilling.
