Jeep’s New Special Edition Looks Like It Drove Out of 1941

Jeep has unveiled another entry in its Twelve 4 Twelve series, and this one looks straight back to where the brand began. Called the Sarge Edition, it's inspired by the 1941 Willys MB and gives both the Wrangler and Gladiator a military-flavored makeover without going overboard.
The biggest giveaway is the color scheme. Models finished in ’41 Green get a white grille surround, white hood graphics, white stars on the doors, and a matching white Freedom Top. Buyers who choose other exterior colors still get plenty of military-inspired touches, including green accents on the grille, roof, and decals.

Jeep also added a few details that fit the theme nicely. There are bronze tow hooks, steel rock rails, body-color fender flares, and exclusive 17-inch wheels finished in ’41 Green. They’re wrapped in 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires, so the look isn't just for show.

Inside, the cabin mixes Cattle Tan and Drab Green trim with cloth seats and gold contrast stitching. Small touches are scattered throughout, including a star-shaped shift knob, a 1941 plaque near the cup holders, and air vents featuring Jeep’s signature seven-slot grille design.

The nice surprise is the price. Special editions often come with hefty markups, but Jeep is asking just $100 extra for the four-door Wrangler Sarge and $500 more for the Gladiator version. For buyers who like a bit of Jeep history mixed into their off-roader, that seems like a pretty reasonable upgrade.
