Isuzu D-Max EV Price Starts At £59,995: Here’s What You Get

Isuzu just pulled the wraps off its first fully electric pickup, the D-Max EV, and it's gearing up to hit European roads in early 2026.
If the Isuzu D-Max EV looks familiar, that’s because it doesn’t stray far from the standard diesel-powered D-Max. Apart from some blue accents, EV badging, and, of course, no tailpipes, the design sticks to what fans already know and love. There’s no blanked-out grille or futuristic rework here. Just classic pickup vibes with an electric twist.

Buyers will have two trims to choose from, the eDL40 and eV-Cross, with options for both Extended Cab and Double Cab setups. You’ll get your standard white paint, but for those who want a bit more flair, there are shades like Obsidian Grey, Onyx Black, and a sharp Biarritz Blue.
The V-Cross trim even comes with a sleek Dolomite White Pearl finish. The launch vehicle, however, was shown off in a bold, custom Norwegian Blue with blacked-out details and matching 18-inch alloys.

Under the hood (or rather, under the chassis), the Isuzu D-Max EV packs dual electric motors making 188 horsepower and 325 Nm of torque. It’s got permanent four-wheel drive and even retains the Rough Terrain Mode from the diesel version.
Performance-wise, it’s not built for speed—with a 0 to 62 mph time of 10.1 seconds and a top speed just over 80 mph—but that’s not really the point here.

What really matters is that it can work hard. It can haul over 1,000 kg and tow up to 3.5 tons, putting it on par with the diesel model. Thanks to 210 mm of ground clearance and a 600 mm wading depth, it still holds its own off-road too.
Power comes from a 66.9 kWh battery that gives it a WLTP range of 263 km (about 163 miles). It supports 50 kW fast charging, so going from 20 to 80 percent takes around an hour. To give customers peace of mind, Isuzu is backing the battery with an 8-year or 100,000-mile warranty.

The Isuzu D-Max EV made its debut at the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, and UK pre-orders opened on July 21. Deliveries are expected to begin in February 2026. Pricing starts at £59,995 (roughly $80,800) before VAT, which is quite a jump from the diesel version that begins at £27,755 ($37,400).
Besides the UK, the electric D-Max will also be available in select European markets, including Norway. Whether it rolls out to more regions depends on how quickly buyers warm up to the idea of an electric workhorse.
