Hyundai Is Finally Letting N Owners Customize Without Going Aftermarket

Hyundai is finally letting N owners in the US have a bit more fun with their cars without sending them straight to the aftermarket.

It starts pretty low-key. Wheel caps in that signature Performance Blue, a few decals, and black lug nuts. Small stuff, but it sets the mood.

Then you get into the cabin, and things feel a bit more worthwhile. The Alcantara steering wheel is the highlight. Better grip, nicer feel in your hands. And surprisingly, Hyundai actually gives you a proper install guide with photos, so you’re not guessing your way through it. From there, you can add N-branded floor mats and alloy door sill plates that are more about daily use than showing off.

If you’re driving an Elantra N, there’s more to play with. Carbon fiber rear wing, carbon mirror caps, and 19-inch forged wheels. Each wheel weighs about 23.1 lbs and comes in matte black. Inside, you can keep the Alcantara theme going with a matching shifter, parking brake, and center armrest.

Prices climb quickly, though. The armrest is $75, which feels fine. The steering wheel jumps to $600. Wheels are $811 each. And the rear wing hits $3,500, which is a big ask when the whole car starts at $35,100.

More parts are coming, so this is just the beginning. For now, it feels like Hyundai is giving owners a middle ground. Not stock, not fully aftermarket, just a way to tweak things without going too far.
