Honda Just Gave Its Tiny EV a Proper 1980s Bulldog Throwback

Honda is leaning into a specific idea with this one. The “Bulldog Style” pack gives the Super-One a clear link to the 1980s City Turbo II, known as the Bulldog.
The reference shows up in the details. Red “Bulldog” decals run across the doors, tailgate, and front bumper, echoing the original graphics. Right below, a small “electric power” script points to what sits underneath.

The base Honda Super-One already comes with flared fenders and deep bumpers, so Honda Access keeps the changes focused. The new roof spoiler stands out. It is larger than the standard piece, finished in black to match the roof and emblems.
Lower down, the bumper gets LED fog lights placed between the side inlets and the central intake. They can switch between white and yellow light and come with black garnishes. The car also gets new 15-inch aluminum wheels in black, with a six-double-spoke design.

Under the surface, everything stays the same. The single electric motor produces 63 hp in normal use and up to 94 hp in Boost Mode. Active Sound Control adds simulated gear shifts and engine sounds through the speakers. The chassis already differs from the N-One, with stiffer dampers and a wider track.
The car was shown at the Automobile Council 2026 in Chiba, displayed alongside an original City Turbo II, which ties the whole idea together.

Pre-orders for the Super-One and the Bulldog Style accessories are already open in Japan, ahead of the market launch in May. Pricing for the accessory pack will be announced in the coming weeks.
It stays simple at its core. Same hardware, same output, just a different look and a clear reference behind it.
