Hands-Free Ford BlueCruise Expands To Four New Models In Europe

Ford is getting ready to bring its BlueCruise hands-free driving system to a lot more people in Europe. Starting in spring 2026, you’ll be able to get it on four new models: the Puma, the electric Puma Gen-E, the Kuga, and even the Ranger PHEV pickup.
BlueCruise first showed up in Europe back in 2023, but only in the UK and only on the Mustang Mach-E. Now Ford is finally widening the rollout and giving more drivers access to the tech.

The system will be part of the optional Driver Assistance Pack. Once you switch it on, the car can handle acceleration, braking, and steering by itself on approved stretches of road known as “Blue Zones.” There are already more than 135,000 kilometers of these zones spread across 16 European countries.

You still need to pay attention, though. The system uses cameras, radar, and other sensors to spot lane markings, traffic signs, and nearby cars, but Ford still expects the driver to stay engaged. With this expansion, Ford is moving hands-free driving from a niche feature into something regular buyers can actually use—not just on a premium EV, but on everyday cars and even a plug-in hybrid truck.
