FBI Investigates Wave Of Attacks On Tesla Cars And Dealerships

The situation around attacks on Tesla cars and properties has escalated to the point where even the FBI is getting involved. This week, the Bureau issued a public alert, officially classifying the incidents as domestic terrorism.

In a statement titled “Individuals Target Tesla Vehicles and Dealerships Nationwide with Arson, Gunfire, and Vandalism,” the FBI warned that Tesla-related sites in at least nine states have been hit over the past few months.

“These incidents have involved arson, gunfire, and vandalism, including graffiti expressing grievances against those the perpetrators perceive to be racists, fascists, or political opponents,” the Bureau stated. It added that the crimes appear to be the work of lone offenders, not coordinated groups, and that all known incidents have happened at night.

Despite Tesla CEO Elon Musk claiming that leftist organizations are funding the attacks, the FBI gave no indication that there’s any larger movement behind them. Instead, the agency is urging the public to stay alert, especially around Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and production facilities. Anyone who sees something suspicious is encouraged to report it to their local FBI field office.

Over the past two months, Tesla cars have been vandalized, shot at, and even set on fire, with dealerships also being targeted. But this wave of destruction doesn’t seem to be aimed at Tesla as a company—it’s more about Musk himself. Since taking charge of the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under the Trump administration, Musk has overseen mass layoffs of federal employees, which has sparked widespread outrage.

Last week, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that three individuals have been charged with using Molotov cocktails to destroy Tesla properties. In response, Musk revealed that Tesla is activating its Sentry Mode security system on all parked vehicles in an effort to catch vandals in the act.
