DS No8 Arrives With 370 HP And 686 KM Range Set To Compete With Premium Rivals

DS Automobiles has revealed the details of the all-electric No8, anticipating the first deliveries in late 2025. Prices in France start at €59,200 (about $61,300) for the entry-level Pallas FWD, climbing to €74,600 ($77,300) for the fully loaded Etoile AWD Long Range.
That top-tier version packs a 370-hp dual-motor setup and a 97.2 kWh battery, giving it a solid 686 km (426 miles) of WLTP range. The brand didn’t hold back during the reveal, openly calling out Audi and BMW as benchmarks.

That’s a bold move, considering the No8’s starting price is steeper than the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron (€46,990) and BMW i4 Gran Coupe (€57,600). Even at its top trim, it’s still positioned to take on premium electric models like the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron (€66,420), Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan (€70,050), and BMW i5 (€76,250).

Curiosity got the better of us, so we jumped into the configurator to see just how far the price could go. Our build included Crystal Pearl paint (€1,000), a black roof (€400), and 21-inch Cassiopeia alloy wheels (€1,100). Inside, we went for Chestnut Brown Nappa leather (€2,350), the laminated panoramic roof (€800), and both the Absolute Comfort (€2,500) and Tech (€1,350) packs, which add goodies like DS Night Vision.

Also add in the 22kW charger (€900) and a removable tow bar (€990). The grand total? €85,990 ($89,100). That’s a hefty figure but still under the DS9 Opera sedan’s €89,250 ($95,500) sticker. DS is clearly gunning for a spot in the high-end EV market, even hinting at pricier models in the future.

With the DS9 now only available from stock after production ended, the No8 is taking center stage. The real test will be whether buyers think it’s worth the premium—or if the competition offers more bang for the buck.
