DAMD Turns The Honda WR-V Into A Retro Jeep-Wagon Mashup Called REVERB

Honda’s little WR-V isn’t exactly the kind of car that turns heads—until now. Leave it to Japan’s DAMD to take a subcompact SUV and give it a full-on ’80s makeover with a big dose of Jeep Cherokee XJ vibes. The result is a weird but wonderful mashup.
They’ve called this creation the “REVERB,” and honestly, it kind of rocks in its own oddball way. Up front, it’s got chunky square headlights and a Jeep-style grille (but only six slots, so nobody gets sued). Toss in some G-Wagon-style LEDs and a boxy bumper, and suddenly the Honda WR-V has a face that wouldn’t look out of place in an old off-road catalog.

Then there’s the side profile—complete with fake wood paneling that screams family road trip circa 1989. Out back, things stay mostly stock, but the Honda badge gets swapped for a REVERB logo, and there’s a random piece of black plastic that feels like a design team shrug. Whatever. It kind of works.

The whole thing rides higher, too. DAMD gave it a slight lift, fitted chunky BF Goodrich tires on 16-inch wheels, and now it looks ready to hit a trail, even if it’s still a front-wheel-drive grocery getter underneath.
Inside, it’s light on mods, but you can option it up with plaid seat covers and matching trim that bring some serious old-school charm. In the end, it’s not luxurious, but it’s got character.
