Charge Has Revived Its Dazzling 1967 Ford Mustang Electric Vehicle

After more than three years since the business first debuted its electric Mustang concept, Charge has now unveiled a model intended for production. The car is a modern twist on the 1967 Mustang Fastback and is described as a brand-new hand-built design masterpiece.

It employs an officially approved shell to keep the Mustang's iconic style and aesthetic, but it has a few modern tweaks, such as a fully enclosed grille bordered by LED headlights. The model also features Charge insignia, flush-mounted door handles, and distinctive wheels.

The cabin undergoes the most significant alterations. A digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment system with a portrait mode are available to drivers. A simple steering wheel, a push-button shifter, and strongly cushioned sport seats round out the interior. Furthermore, Chief Creative Officer Mark Roberts stated that the company will enable customers to manifest their creativity and personality by customizing their Mustang vehicles.

The automobile has a 64 kWh battery pack that supposedly powers a dual-engine all-wheel-drive system with a combined output of 536 hp (400 kW / 544 PS) and 1,106 lb-ft (1,500 Nm) of torque, according to Charge. The Mustang can go from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) in 3.9 seconds and cover 200 miles (322 km) on a single battery charge.

Arrival provides several engine parts. However, the model only has a 50 kW DC fast charging potential. That's not a lot of range, but it's a lot more than the original estimate of 124 miles (200 km). The production run will be limited to 499 Mustang vehicles, with prices starting at £350,000 ($458,277). Charge is now taking bookings, but no launch date has been set.
