Bugatti Bolide Production Ends With Final €4 Million Track Monster

Bugatti has now built every Bolide, and the last one—number 40—has officially gone to its new owner, who paid €4 million for it.
The Bolide first showed up in 2020 as this outrageous, track-only concept, and for a while it wasn’t even clear if Bugatti would ever make it. But once they said yes, all 40 cars were claimed instantly. With something this extreme, that was pretty much guaranteed.

Since it’s a pure track machine, the Bolide isn’t legal for the road. It uses Bugatti’s iconic quad-turbo W16 engine, making 1,600 hp and 1,600 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It’s brutally quick: 0–100 km/h in 2.2 seconds and a top speed capped at 501 km/h.

A lot of that performance comes from how light the car is. The body is mostly carbon fiber with titanium bits here and there, and the aero package is wild—at 320 km/h it makes over 2,630 kg of downforce, basically gluing the car to the track.

The final Bugatti Bolide gets a special look too, painted in Lyonnais blue with a deep Black Blue accent. It’s a fitting way to close out one of the most extreme limited runs Bugatti has ever built.
