2022 BMW iX3 Will Make Its Debut With New Styling

BMW has officially debuted the facelifted iX3 after a leak earlier this year. The redesigned model, which will make its premiere at the Munich Motor Show, boasts a bigger kidney grille with a single-piece frame. Slimmer LED headlights border it, with laser lights available as an extra.

Improvements don't end there: the M Sport package is now basic on the iX3. It has a sporty back diffuser and more sharp fascias. Three-dimensional taillights and 19- or 20-inch wheels with an aerodynamic design make the perfect picture.

The cabin sees the most significant modifications, with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a broader 12.3- or 12.5-inch navigation system. New switchgear, a redesigned central console, and a modern shifter join them. New Aluminum Rhombicle darkish tone trim is also available, as well as perforated Sensatec upholstery on the regular sport seats.

On demand, leather can also be added. A rear-mounted electric engine with 282 horsepower (210 kW / 286 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque is powered by an 80 kWh battery pack.

2022 BMW iX3 can go from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 6.8 secs and reach a max speed of 112 mph (180 km/h) technologically limited. Furthermore, the vehicle has a WLTP test cycle strength of approximately 286 miles (460 km).

BMW iX3's 150 kW quick charging capacity will be appreciated when the battery dies. It allows the model to get a range of about 62 miles (100 km) in 10 min. The crossover can recover from 0 to 100 % in about 7.5 hours at home with an 11 kW BMW Wallbox.

Two specification lines will be available for European vehicles, including an “Inspiring” version with silver paint, a panoramic sunroof, and an electronic tailgate. Adjustable suspension, power seats, a sport steering wheel, and a tri-zone automatic temperature control system with pre-heating and pre-conditioning options are all available to customers.

The facelifted iX3 will be released in September and will be manufactured in China for both domestic and international markets. This autumn, the vehicle will be available in Europe for €67,300 ($78,878), including VAT.

Customers who want additional luxury can choose the “Impressive” variant, which includes acoustic glass and 20-inch wheels. A head-up monitor, Vernasca leather, and a Harman Kardon luxury audio system are among the other features.
